Marcus Denman has worked as a trainee at Center for Magnetic Resonance and CoE HYPERMAG for the past week.
Marcus is 15 years old and has a special interest in natural sciences, both physics, chemistry and mathematics. He wants to be an engineer one day and asked DTU Elektro for an internship as part of his school education.
At Center for Magnetic Resonance and HYPERMAG Marcus has tried out different aspects of research and Development work. He has soldered circuits for new hardware, he has studied the metabolism of cells and enzyme activity through hyperpolarization, he has picked up fresh deliveries of nitrogen for our polarizers at DTU Danchip and produced UV radicals for a brand new research activity.
Marcus has not been scared away from a future in research or engineering. He says,"It has been very interesting to experience what electronics and chemistry engineers work with at DTU. Everyone has been very nice to me and good at explaining their technology, showing me their lab activities and letting me try experiments and equipment myself".
